Microlens arrays
DIAMOND-TURNED MICRO-LENS ARRAYS
Epigem
has developed new methods for fabricating refractive microlens arrays
using a combination of single-point diamond machining and polymer micro-replication.
The lens profile is first of all precision machined into a metal master
tool. The metal tool is then used to emboss, cast or mold polymer microlens
arrays. Lens arrays are supported on either rigid (such as glass) or flexible
(plastic film) substrates. Microlens film can be made using our high volume
reel to reel UV embossing process.
